Meet Jabes Reyes, our intake coordinator, and the first friendly voice you will encounter with our staff Growth Journey Therapy! Jabes is bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English) as a second-generation Latina and has a wealth of experience supporting immigrants and the refugee community during her 3 years working as case manager at La Puerta Abierta, a local nonprofit community mental health agency. During her case management experience, Jabes tirelessly supported marginalized populations within our community as they worked to navigate available local resources and supports to improve their quality of life, often accompanying patients to court hearings and/or schools, supporting their success in accomplishing needed preliminary tasks to establish themselves within the community, as they found their path in a new and unfamiliar environment.

As our intake coordinator here at The Growth Journey, Jabes will be happy to assist you, providing information about our practice, answering any and all questions you may have, collaboratively assisting you to identify specific concerns and goals for your treatment experience with us. Jabes will be by your side throughout the intake process, helping with the process of scheduling your appointments and facilitating the completion of your intake assessment. Once you have completed the initial evaluation, Jabes will be instrumental in linking you with one of our friendly and knowledgeable clinicians who will be the best fit for your specific needs and goals, as you begin taking proactive steps toward your own healing and accomplishing harmonious family relationships. Once you are linked with a clinician, Jabes will be available to speak with you throughout your treatment process regarding any concerns or feedback you may have during the length of your treatment with us”.
